Stair Specialities specialises only in producing wooden staircases. Our stairs are made to the highest standards of craftsmanship, using quality materials and timber, both native and exotic. As staircase specialists only, we do not make handrails or balustrades. Stair Specialties is happy to suggest a company that can assist you with a quote for handrails and balustrades.

 

For our standard stair we use ex 250*40 Radiata pine strings (dressing grade) that is sanded and ready to paint.

 

Our treads and risers are 21mm thick tri-board. All treads and risers are firmly wedged so they are strong and guaranteed not to squeak. We place a pine nosing on the front of each tread suitable for your choice of carpet finish.
